Magda Dineva PhD
Magda joined Ipulse in October 2010 after completing an MSc in Management of Intellectual Property at Queen Mary, University of London.
She has extensive experience in both academia and industry. For over 12 years she worked on research and development of new-generation point-of-care molecular assays and diagnostic devices. As a co-founder of a University of Cambridge spin-off company, Magda was also in charge of a worldwide portfolio of patents and trademarks. As a co-inventor of some of the patent families, she was also involved with preparation of patent applications for national and international filings and their prosecution in territories throughout the world.
Her experience also includes IP portfolio management, patents landscape analyses for freedom-to-operate and assessment of patentability, and technologies assessment and competitive advantage analyses for business planning and development.
In addition to English and her native Bulgarian, Magda also speaks Russian and has a basic knowledge of French. Outside work she enjoys taking care of her family. Her hobbies include yoga, aikido, swimming, water color painting, cycling and mountain hiking.
