Ian Weaver PhD
Ian joined Ipulse in January 2011. Clients benefit from his significant experience within the IP, industrial, and academic arenas.
Previously Ian managed an Advanced Technology & Electro-Optic Systems group at QinetiQ before being promoted to manage half of QinetiQ’s IP portfolio.
Prior to that he was principal design engineer for SpectraProbe with responsibility for design and build of mid-infrared spectroscopic diagnostic equipment. His career started at British Aerospace, where he was a systems engineer and developed strike aircraft main computer algorithms.
At Queen’s University, Belfast Ian worked as a post-doctoral research fellow, leading a group of PhD students working on electronic systems.
Ian is an experienced skier and vice chairman of a local history society. He is an enthusiastic cook, and likes preparing for grand events – goose with all the trimmings, including sautéed stuffed goose neck, is quite a hit!
