David Rickard BSc, LLB (CEO)
For over 20 years David has helped clients obtain, protect and extract value from IP. He has won groundbreaking IP cases; advised, negotiated and drafted billion-dollar IP acquisitions; won high-profile infringement cases; created new forms of court orders; and published numerous articles and case commentaries.
David qualified as a Patent Attorney and also Solicitor and Barrister in his native Australia. In 1989 he moved to the UK to become senior IP Solicitor at Bird & Bird, and then Partner and European Patent Attorney at a major European firm before going on to establish Ipulse.
David loves outdoor activities, especially watersports such as sailing and swimming, as well as skiing and running. He is an international sailing champion and a former National Sailing Coach.
