Chris Hawkes LLB

Chris was called as a Barrister of England & Wales in July 2010.  He was awarded the highest mark in the country in International Commercial Practice and won The College of Law’s Mooting Prize.

Chris has excellent advocacy experience having been involved in the Attorney General’s award-winning pro bono scheme, working with the Birmingham TUC Centre for the Unemployed and representing individuals at the Birmingham Employment Tribunal.  He has also undertaken pro bono work on trademark matters, domain name disputes and assisted in high court litigation.

Chris is training as a Registered Trade Mark Attorney.  He is also studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice at Oxford University. 

In his spare time, Chris enjoys music.  He is a competent instrumentalist, and organises and DJs at various national events.  He is also a keen golfer.
